A Study on the Concept of al-Qabih in al-Qadî ‘Abd al-Jabbâr al-Hamadhani’s Thought
The Problem of Evil in Islamic Theology: A study on the Concept of al-Qabîh in al-Qadî ‘Abd al-Jabbâr al-Hamadhani’s Thought was a thesis by Prof. Fauzan Saleh for obtaining his Master degree from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, McGill University, Montreal, in 1992. The thesis attempts to examine ‘Abd al-Jabbâr’s point of view on the problem of evil, and to show how he maintains the concept of divine justice, a principal characteristic of Mu’tazilism, in the face of the problem of evil.
